Building a Trustworthy Brand and Clear Offer
Create a consistent identity and explain why customers should choose the business.
Create a consistent identity and explain why customers should choose the business.
What you will learn
- Write a clear value proposition
- Use consistent names colours and messages
- Present prices evidence and limitations honestly
Before you begin
Use a real business only when you have permission to manage its information. Practise with a small budget or invented campaign first. Never publish customer information, account passwords, verification codes, private tokens or payment credentials.
Clarify the offer
State what the business provides, who it is for, where it is available and the main benefit. Avoid vague claims such as best quality without evidence.
Turn features into customer outcomes. A same-day repair is a feature; returning to work quickly is the practical benefit.
Build recognition
Use one business name, profile image, telephone number and general visual style across listings and channels. Consistency helps customers recognise the real business.
Choose a small colour palette and readable type. Design should support information rather than make prices, conditions or contact details difficult to see.
Create trust
Show accurate photographs, qualifications where relevant, customer evidence used with permission and clear terms. Used goods must not be presented as new.
Do not buy fake followers or reviews. Explain service areas, availability and exclusions so customers can decide without unpleasant surprises.
Guided practice
- Write a one-sentence value proposition.
- Create a simple brand-information sheet.
- Review one existing advertisement for unclear or unsupported claims.
Knowledge check
- What should a value proposition explain?
- Why is consistency important?
- Should negative limitations be hidden?
Completion standard
Continue when you can complete the guided practice and explain the knowledge-check answers in your own words.
